Halloween on West 69th Street
West 69th Street has a long standing tradition as being one of the best blocks on the Upper West Side for a celebration on Halloween eve. The two blocks between Central Park West and Broadway are closed to traffic and many of the buildings are decorated with fiendish figures. Residents of the block take this night very seriously and there are some very creative and often creepy characters to stop and visit with. It’s also a great block for trick or treating. It’s very popular, so be prepared for crowds.
